Determining the right items to gather for your dance supply depends entirely on the type of dance you will be practicing and performing. Generally speaking you will dance shoes, dance clothes usually you will want to have a bag of some sort to carry them in. Depending on the style of dance and your instructor you may need more.

For advanced ballet classes you will most likely have more strict clothing and dance supply requirements than other dance styles. The classic ballet look is a black leotard and pink tights. Whatever color tights you have try to get them to match your en Pointe shoes. This creates an illusion of longer legs and ads to the beauty of the dance.

Other types of dance, like hip hop, don’t require any specific dance supply. The clothing and shoes you choose should simply be comfortable, and allow full range of motion. As you are searching for dance supplies, it would be a good idea to talk to your dance instructor to see what products or brands she would recommend. You could also talk to an employee at a local dance shop or read on line reviews.
